Terms of Service
Thank you for choosing to learn, grow, and work with me.
These Terms of Service outline how my online courses and coaching services.
Please read them carefully before purchasing or participating.
By purchasing a course or booking coaching, you are agreeing to these Terms.
Last updated: April 2026
1. Who I Am
I operate as a sole trader based in Australia. My services include:
1:1 public speaking coaching
Online courses (self-paced)
Digital products and resources
By accessing or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Who the Services Are For
My services are created for adults (18+) seeking support in public speaking, presentation skills, confidence-building, and related areas. They are not clinical, medical, or therapeutic services.
3. Coaching Services
Coaching includes one-on-one sessions, personalised guidance, and limited email support (as described on your selected package page).
By booking coaching, you acknowledge that:
Coaching is educational and skill-building, not therapy.
Results vary depending on your effort, context, and personal circumstances.
You are responsible for applying what you learn.
Coaching may require practice, experimentation, and reflection outside sessions.
Session Changes
You may reschedule a session with 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours may be forfeited.
If I (Sven) need to reschedule, I’ll give as much notice as possible and offer a new time promptly.
Session Expiry
Single sessions must be used within 30 days of purchase.
3-Session packages within 90 days.
6-Session packages within 6 months.
(Extensions may be granted in special circumstances — just ask.)
Email Support
To keep support manageable and helpful, email guidance is:
for short questions, clarifications, and progress updates
not for full script editing, slide reviews, or long-form feedback outside sessions
Such in-depth materials are reviewed during your sessions.
4. Online Courses
Purchasing a course gives you lifetime access to:
video lessons
workbook(s)
templates and tools
future course updates (when applicable)
“Lifetime access” means the lifetime of the course — not your lifetime. If the course is ever retired, you’ll receive at least 90 days’ notice and an option to download key materials.
Usage
You may not share, sell, redistribute, or publicly post any course content.
Course Platform
I may use third-party platforms (e.g., Thinkific, Teachable, or similar). Technical issues are rare but possible; I’ll always help resolve them promptly, but I can’t be responsible for outages beyond my control.
5. Community Membership
If you join the paid online community:
Be respectful, supportive, and kind.
No harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.
No self-promotion or selling to other members.
Your membership is individual; please do not share access.
You may submit questions for weekly async Q&A. While I read everything, I cannot guarantee responses to extensive or highly technical requests.
If community guidelines are violated, access may be suspended or removed without refund.
6. Payments & Refunds
Online Course Refunds
I offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for course-only purchases.
If you feel the course isn’t a good fit, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no hard feelings.
Refunds cannot be granted if:
you’ve downloaded substantial materials AND
you’ve watched a significant portion of the course (more than 25%)
This helps prevent misuse while still keeping things generous and fair.
Upgrades (e.g., adding the Community) follow their own refund policy, detailed at checkout.
Coaching Refunds
Because coaching requires time, preparation, and personalised work:
Coaching session purchases are non-refundable, but
You may reschedule with 24 hours’ notice
Unused sessions within a package are not refundable but may be transferred to a new date within the expiry window
If you feel coaching isn’t the right fit, please let me know — I will always try to adjust the approach so you get the most out of it.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, coaching resources, worksheets, and website content are owned by Sven Brodmerkel. You may use these materials for your personal development only. You may not reproduce, sell, share, or adapt them for commercial use.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted under Australian law:
You acknowledge that results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
I am not responsible for decisions you make based on course or coaching content.
I am not liable for losses arising from the use of our website, services, or third-party platforms.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Privacy
I take your privacy seriously. Your personal information is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy (linked separately), which outlines how data is collected, stored, and used.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes will be handled under Queensland jurisdiction.
